How did we get here?
These negative effects break our hearts for our littlest lives. Obviously, these results were never a planned part of this generation’s childhood, so what is it exactly that has caused these struggles amongst so many American kids?



It all begins with one thing..
So what??
Do these things really matter? Is this just a new reality of life for a new generation? Maybe, but now that generations of children are being socialized in consumer cultures, we begin to face the reality of drastically shortened childhoods for the youngest ones who are experiencing this era of life. Today’s kids might scarcely remember a time when they were not only operating as consumers, but also experiencing the consequences of it.




Steady on is a brand that seeks to exist in order to not only inform, but more importantly to stand beside parents in the taking of these small intentional steps toward imperfect growth.

Fighting against the early presentation of consumer culture within many lines of toys, Steady On seeks to advocate for the innocence of kids.
By presenting enriching content and materials based in the research of child psychology, product design, and the adaptation of the current state of childhood, this new brand and its culture will partner with families to advocate for the experience of a more wholesome and growth-filled childhood.
